Our Story

Tell Construction Co. Inc. was established in 1949 by Andrew P. Tell in Phoenix, Arizona.

In those early days of Phoenix, the company played a pivotal role in the development and growth of the City. In 1983, Andrew's grandson, John Hamman, took over ownership and built on the roots Andrew had started. In 2024, John's son Luke Hamman, the fourth generation, took ownership of the family company.

Luke also founded Tell Construction Advisors to put four generations of building and development experience to work on the owner's side of the table. Where the family once built and developed projects, the advisory firm now represents the owners who fund them, guiding them across the Western U.S.

We sit on one side of the table, yours. Every decision we make is in the owner's interest. Not the contractor's. Not the architect's. Yours.

What Guides Us

Principles, not promises.

Aligned with you

We work for the owner and only the owner. No divided loyalties, no hidden incentives, your interests are the only ones we serve.

Built on experience

Four generations and $1B+ of construction inform every recommendation. We've seen how projects go right, and how they go wrong.

Ahead of the problem

The best problems are the ones the owner never hears about. We catch issues early, in the field, before they reach your desk.

Who We Serve

Owners who can't afford to get it wrong.

Real estate developers, institutional owners, school districts, universities, healthcare systems, municipalities, faith-based and nonprofit organizations, family offices, and private homeowners, across the Western United States and beyond.

Put four generations on your side.
